ABOUT FOLK&LORE
folk&lore is female-owned. A duo made up of a holistic esthetician & a skateboarder in Boise, Idaho. Simplicity, sustainability, and the art of expression are important to us. We combine those values and create hand-dipped and poured beeswax candles.
Our Process
We sustainably source the wax from local beekeepers in Idaho. The wax used is the result of the cappings of the honey cells that are scraped off during the honey harvesting process and then filtered and formed into large blocks. When we receive our beeswax, we filter it again to ensure clarity and that there is little to no debris left over which could negatively impact the burning performance. The candles are then crafted. We curate wicks based on the size and type of candle that is made from beeswax-coated hemp or organic braided cotton. No additives or fragrances. Just pure beeswax gold. It's a whole mood.
